On Wednesday, January 18^th, we had the pleasure of hosting “Bosom Buddies” - Nurture and Nourish Your Skin.  “Bosom Buddies” is our support group for cancer survivors and patients.

Mary McAndrews explained how changes in nutritional balance, stress level, hormone issues, and lifestyle during/after chemo or radiation treatments affect our skin.  Four separate areas were set up to learn about:

• Skincare

• Oncology massage

• Scarf tying

• Makeup application – Everyone received a mineral makeup application lesson with tips to enhance skins’ natural luster and vibrance.

Of course everyone left looking FABULOUS!

      Mary McAndrews , licensed esthetician and Rebacca Kloss, registered dietician spoke to a group of cancer survivors and patients on nutritional skincare.  "How we care for our bodies while going through chemotherapy and radiation can play an intricate role in our recovery."  These patients gained invaluable knowledge on the properties of food and how they effect the skin.  Organic skincare treatments, whole food therapy, and relaxation techniques were discussed.  We look forward to our continued relationship with the CSC and helping to make life a little easier for all cancer patients.
